When solar makes sense

Solar usually looks strongest when a home has enough bill spend, reasonable sun access, and plans to stay put for a while.

Solar often makes the most sense when the household already has a meaningful electricity bill, decent roof or site conditions, and time to benefit from long-term savings.
Homes with daytime usage, EV charging, or future electrification plans can also see a stronger fit.
A low bill or a poor roof does not always rule solar out, but it usually makes the decision more sensitive to price and policy details.
